Earlier this morning I had just packed up the tent and was about to head off when this kangaroo came along, which got me thinking about the simple pleasure of camping.
Yesterday I turned off the highway and pointed the car north towards the Flinders Ranges National Park, where I will be for the next few days. However I was still a few hours shy of the park in the afternoon and had enough of the road so I stopped at a place called Warren Gorge and set up home for the night.
One of the things that got me excited about this trip was the idea of camping in good spaces, and this was one of those. It was the perfect pitstop. Some short trails to stretch the legs, but really I didn’t explore very much. instead just chilled out and started a new book – Gone Girl. So this is just a short post to say that yes, there is lots to see and do which is amazing, but some days sitting still at a great campspot hits the mark too.
Maybe it is a short post, but you’ve managed to get me *thinking* about camping, which is a lot.
It must be gorgeous out there!
