Seaweed bath?

I have been procrastinating.  Why is it that the things on my own doorstep I’m the least likely to do? For years I have been saying I would love to have a seaweed bath, but have never had one, now finally I have.

A seaweed bath, like the name suggests is a bath of hot seawater with fresh seaweed in it, but I prefer to think of it as a  a tub of steamy, silky bliss. A traditional therapy, in fact the only therapy indigenous to Ireland which uses  sea water, like Thalassatherapy but with seaweed.

I have learned that……”seaweed contains countless minerals, vitamins and beneficial ingredients in high concentrations. When steamed it produces amazing luxurious oils, these oils (complex polysaccharides, proteins, minerals and vitamins) are naturally suspended in the water and as heat has opened the body’s pores, these oils are readily absorbed”

The water does take on a a less than radox  hue, which is the iodine from the seaweed working its magic.  But the feeling is complete relaxation. My only thought was, what took me so long to try it??

So there you go, hop in!
