Ceracahui, good for the heart

“This is Mexico” he bellowed before breaking into a belly aching laugh that came from his toes. He being Alberta, the owner of Hotel Jade where I was staying. Some places are good for the heart and this was one of them. I came to the town of Ceracahui for 1 night and stayed far longer.

Ceracahui is a small town tinkering with tourism whilst getting on with their real life. There are only a handful  of hotels and places to eat, scant phone reception, no atms or wifi. Was good to be offline for a while, the twitching stopped after the second day!

This was my first stop on the train and I was staying here as a base for some hikes which were great and I’ll put together a post on those too, in the meantime here are some pictures of the town itself and some of the kids who found me amusing as I tried to communicate in pitiful Spanish with them.

    1. And it deserves to be on the must visit list. It’s my first time here and I am loving it. Thanks for stopping by my blog. It has given me the chance to check out yours too 🙂 Happy travels
