I think Captain Cook may have been too polite. Sailing past in 1770 he named this distinctive peak Pigeon House. The Aboriginal name of Didthol, a word meaning “woman’s breast” seems closer to the mark.
Either way, I made my way up on a gloomy morning, passed numerous times by enthusiastic boot campers and trail runners. At 6km return with a few steep spurts its a prime training spot. This day however my efforts were denied any views as the clouds closed in so I focused on looking for some colour closer to the trail.
Absolutely beautiful down there and cannot wait to go back… suprised you took on the castle solo. Thats not for the faint hearted! Good to see you pass through my way.

My solo run probably explains why I wasn’t able to complete it! Yes, very beautiful around there – will be back when better prepared 🙂
