I am in Tokyo airport writing this. What a blast I have had in this country. Wasn’t sure what to expect before getting here and now I know I want to come back to see more.
The last few days I have spent in Nikko which is in the mountains of Tochigi Prefecture, approx 140km north of Tokyo. Lots to see and do here, the Futarasan Shrine which dates to the year 767. And also one of my favourite things – Hot Springs! There are also many famous hot springs /Onsen in the area and I embraced the local approach and bared all – no photos of that.
A perfect end to a great time in Japan. Big thanks to my tour guide Claire – I can recommend her itinerary wholeheartedly
